Named Professor of the Year in Minnesota by the Carnegie Foundation, Dr. Phillip Adamo is a leading authority on medieval monks. In his latest book, Pilgrimage for Eight,  Adamo serves as the narrator for his group of eight pilgrims recreating the thirteenth-century journey of Caulite monks from Burgandy, France to form new monasteries in far northern Scotland. Adamo holds a Ph.D. from Ohio State University and a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY - Albany. Prior to his academic career, Adamo toured the United States and Europe delighting crowds as a performer in the Ringling Brothers Circus.
